The new Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is a huge 5.7-inch HD display smartphone loaded with the Windows Phone 8.1 OS. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor and 1GB RAM. It sports a 13MP ZEISS optics auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP wide angle front camera. It has 8GB of in-built storage and a micro SD card slot with support up to 128 GB. It comes in two different variant by network connectivity support – 4G LTE variant and 3G only variant. The 4G variant does support 4G band 40 in India (2300 MHz).
As the name suggests, Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is the larger display sibling of the another smartphone launched along with it, Microsoft Lumia 640 (It is the same terminology Nokia used in X series, Nokia X and Nokia XL). Both have same quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM and HD resolution display, but other than the display size they differ in cameras with Microsoft Lumia 640 XL sporting better cameras (13MP ZEISS optics rear, 5 MP front) in comparison to Microsoft Lumia 640 (8MP rear, 1 MP front).
